MATC Matters

The Blackboard Learning System hardware upgrade has been successfully completed!

What Changed?
MATC Blackboard now has a
multi-server hardware infrastructure to provide improved performance and reliability, as well as reduced down-time associated with system back-up and restore procedures to instructors, students, and staff.

What Didn’t Change?
The Blackboard software remains exactly the same as before the change because this was a hardware infrastructure change only.

Why Did We Change?
MATC had been supporting all College Blackboard usage on a
one-server system. Our usage was more than the system could handle. The new system give us the ability to grow the system as usage demands.
