MATC Matters

Fall Semester New Student Orientation sessions have been moved to an earlier date to accommodate a greater number of new students. These earlier sessions provide students with a variety of services including testing, advising, enrollment, and other services.

To provide students with continuous communication and facilitate retention efforts from the time of orientation sessions to the start of the semester, program faculty expressed an interest to have class rosters posted to Blackboard earlier than the current policy of two weeks prior to the start of the fall semester. This effort will enable faculty to send emails to students providing valuable information concerning program classes throughout this time.

We are pleased to announce that the request has been addressed. On or about June 15, class rosters will be selected and posted to Blackboard. Class Roster updates including student add/drops will occur on a nightly basis. Updates to Blackboard will need to be addressed as normal maintenance by faculty as has been the policy in the past.
