MATC Matters

As many of you know, Madison’s Catholic Multicultural Center was recently closed due to budget cuts. It provided those in need with a much-needed food pantry and meal program.

Here’s how we can help. The Volunteer Center is kicking-off a food drive on July 20 in conjuction with our WolfPack Welcome (formerly New Student Daze). The food drive will run through August 21. Donations raised at the Truax and Downtown campuses will benefit those agencies affected by the closure. Donations raised at the regional campuses will benefit their local food pantries.

We want to make this a fun competition to see who can raise the most donations. It would be helpful if you could provide incentives to those who want to compete in the food drive. Some ideas include sponsoring a pizza party, gift cards, etc. Prizes would be awarded based on how much food was raised.
