MATC Matters

A former graduate recently wrote accounting instructor Mark Finger a nice letter about MATC. Here it is—unedited.

Mr. Finger –
 
I don’t know if you remember me from your classes a couple years ago, but I thought I would follow up with you and say hi. I graduated there and was working as a temp at American Family Insurance for a few months. Eventually I landed a job here at the Wisconsin Dental Association’s insurance agency. I recently moved to Milwaukee and got my Wisconsin Property & Casualty Insurance licenses. Things are looking pretty good for my career and everything that I learned in school helps me every single day. When you’re in school you ask yourself; will I ever use this stuff? I can tell you first hand that everything I learned, especially in your computer and excel classes, I use every day on the job. MATC is such a great school. The knowledge you receive for the tuition dollar is a really great deal. My student loans are all paid off and I make a decent wage with full benefits. MATC is a highly respected organization from what I have seen in my interviews. You are a really great teacher. You taught me a lot of valuable things. Thank you.
